Including International Briefings From:

Another Defence-IQ first, the inaugural Battlefield Helicopter Sustainability event

No other issue dominates battlefield mobility at present more than the need for on-demand helicopter support. With intensive operations continuing in the Middle East, 2010 is going to be another tough year for the helicopter support community.

With so much at stake, it has never been more important to optimise helicopter maintenance and sustainability. There is no doubt that increased rotary lift capability saves lives, so the only question that remains is; how to increase that capability with the resources available?

Defence IQ’s Battlefield Helicopter Sustainability will for the first time bring together the international helicopter support community to discuss the critical issues. From overviews of key platform and technology developments, to a better understanding of the evolving maintenance mission, to the current difficulties being faced. Battlefield Helicopter Sustainability will focus on the issues essential to maintaining rotorcraft at the forefront of medium-lift capability.

Key themes at Battlefield Helicopter Sustainability 2010 include:

  • Delivering affordability versus capability – Analysing major global programme requirements for 2010 and beyond.
  • Assessing the latest technical developments, such as cold-spray technology for preventative and restorative maintenance
  • The future of the rotorcraft sustainability – the issues you need to be aware of when training tomorrow’s technicians
